i agree with both of you guys. We were going downhill for a period of time there, but i've noticed a .50 cent decrease in gas prices, (it's $3.51 avg i think where i live). And We are doing better than some countries.
What people really don't understand is that in other countires, they provide health care for all citizens and in Germany they loan HOUSES and Cars to college students.
Now, America has a 0%(no tax)- 8%(i think highest) state tax on goods and whatever. House, State, Property, and regular taxes are placed on us. We don't provide our citizens with healthcare or have that college program, but in other countries (take Germany for example); They have an average tax of like 45%. =O
That means if you buy something at the store that is $20.00, then you would pay a tax of like $9.80 or something. Extremely high taxes, but a larger benefit for the community as a whole.
Pros and Cons of that system ^.
