    I think America isn't going up or down hill. I think it is kind of staying the same. But hey what do I know. I mean America has to be donig better than alot of other countries. tongue

    i agree with both of you guys. We were going downhill for a period of time there, but i've noticed a .50 cent decrease in gas prices, (it's $3.51 avg i think where i live). And We are doing better than some countries.

    What people really don't understand is that in other countires, they provide health care for all citizens and in Germany they loan HOUSES and Cars to college students.

    Now, America has a 0%(no tax)- 8%(i think highest) state tax on goods and whatever. House, State, Property, and regular taxes are placed on us. We don't provide our citizens with healthcare or have that college program, but in other countries (take Germany for example); They have an average tax of like 45%. =O

    That means if you buy something at the store that is $20.00, then you would pay a tax of like $9.80 or something. Extremely high taxes, but a larger benefit for the community as a whole.

    Pros and Cons of that system ^.

    America=Staying same.

    Well, China is something eles.......

    China probably is the strongest economic country, but they do still have child labor which is not good, and they are communist. It's kind of weird how countries such as China can be so deep and rich in cultrue and tradition and be so unevolved morally.

    yeah, China really does have somewhat of an economic stranglehold over america. Look at products in your house i'm 89% sure that it's probably going to be from China. Imagine if all things Chineese-made were just gone...that would be devestating
