    9/11

Post by Guest on Thu Sep 11, 2008 4:00 am

it is actually 9:51pm sept 11th in New Zealand. i feel sorry for all the people who died. i prob know more about this than anyone, i love history (i could write a whole 600 page story about the titanic, but i wont lol) but Yea, ive seen the world trade center(re) movie and it made me cry why did they have to die. what about all the kids who lost a parent or two, that makes me so sad.

Its truly tragic that this happened, but we must remember to put the past behind us!
I didn't know bout it till like a week after, which is when kids talked about it lol, well thats when i remember, and, you all may hate me for this, but, people think this day should be a holiday/no work day, well, i think that even though this is very tragic, is it REALLY something that we want to take a day off of work for, i mean, its better TO work seeing as these people that dided were working, i think its just a little more sensible, and besides, its sad, but not really big enough to become a holiday, also, why does no one mention the pentagon bombing? or the oklahoma city bombing? or ANY of the others, i mean sure, we remember them, but what makes 9/11 so signifigant?!?!?!? Thank you for your time.

I guess 9/11 was so big because it included the destruction of the tallest points in all of America...

I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just dropped Kirby off at school and was on my way to work when his dad called me and told me to get to a TV. It was a terrible thing to watch. We (many adults that is) didn't really know how to talk to our younger kids about it b/c we were in shock ourselves.
